Carolyn Vogel had a 31-year career with Texas Parks and Wildlife and spearheaded the development of the Texas Land Trust Program and the Texas Land Trust Council with the agency. She is a nationally recognized conservationist. In 2008, Carolyn founded Texas Conservation Connection, which works in the business areas of conservation real estate, conservation finance and conservation education and organizational development. Carolyn and her daughter, Kassi Scheffer, also own an antiques and vintage retail business, Harvested, in New Braunfels. In 2016, Carolyn secured her real estate license to work as a farm and ranch real estate specialist in the Hill Country Division of her long-time friend and colleague, broker/owner, Cynthia Inman, Ranch Connection, LLC. Carolyn is a native of Stonewall in Gillespie County where her family continues farming-ranching operations established in the 1840’s. Carolyn is a landowner, with her roots in the land and water and preservation and restoration of Texas’ history, heritage and culture.
